Chalet Description

The chalet is about a quarter of a mile from the village centre. It enjoys a very sunny position in its own grounds on the mountain side. Mazel is a typical Swiss style detached chalet that is both spacious and modern. There are magnificent views of the mountains and valley. Due to the steep slope of the ground, the upper floor is at ground level at the rear and the lower floor is at ground at the front. On the upper floor is a kitchen, large living room and bedroom with double bed. The back door opens from the kitchen on to a paved patio. The balcony, reached from French windows in the lounge, extends the full width of the chalet at the front. The lower floor consists of a hall, two bedrooms, one with two and the other with three single beds, a bathroom and storeroom. The living-room, bedrooms and hall are carpeted and the chalet is attractively furnished in pine. Efficient insulation & electrical heating keeps the chalet very warm in winter.

The kitchen is a separate room, fully equipped with full-sized electric cooker, fridge, work tops, electric kettle, coffee percolator and toaster, stainless steel saucepans and a reasonable selection of the usual kitchen equipment. The living room contains a large dining table with chairs, dresser, settee, armchairs and  coffee tables. Each bedroom has a wardrobe.

Linen, duvets, towels and crockery are provided. There is also a washing machine (in the store room), a cot, an iron, ironing board and clothes-line, a selection of books, games and toys, a telephone and garden table and chairs for use on the patio and balcony.
The village snow plough clears the road to the chalet in winter. Car parking is no problem in the chalet's garage in summer and on the garage roof (at road level) in winter. The grounds are mainly grass and trees. Although steep, the area is suitable for young children to play
